Leader in Worship

Image
I think all of us think of the worship leaders as the group of people on the stage singing, playing instruments, and delivering our Sunday morning worship services. As a teenager, I started thinking about something important to me I want to be a leader in worship. I love singing, I love dancing, but most importantly I love the Lord. I believe that those worship leaders on stage can definitely also be leaders in worship as well, but so can the people sitting in the chairs.      As a teenager, I worked up the courage to ask to be a part of the worship team, and I was told not right now with being a teenager. In high school, I was pretty active in my choir sometimes singing alone in front of my school. In college, I did choir as well. I have always felt more comfortable doing plays though because I did them at a young age. I have not asked to be a part of the worship team since and might consider asking again when I figure out what my plan is for church ...

Evangelist

Being an evangelist is not a one-time thing, a thing you do with a church group, or a thing only for missionaries. It is a lifestyle decision needed in every aspect of where you work, go to school, and the communities you are a part of.  The Call      Before I really knew the call to evangelize, I did it. I have developed my own thoughts of what evangelism is supposed to look like, but I also know that ultimately it is the Lord who works in moments of sharing our faith in big ways. I think sometimes we as humans may try to put a nu...

Advent Week Four: Christ and Love

Image
The  last week of the Advent season is when we celebrate the birth of Jesus!!! This love provides the greatest peace, joy, and hope. At the beginning of Jesus' life, there were many signs of the Messiah: a bright star in the night sky, a virgin conceiving and giving birth to a son, and angels singing glory to God.  Luke 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."      As I have mentioned before, I was a child who loved receiving gifts. I remember always counting the gifts I had. I realize that these gifts brought temporary happiness. It could have lasted a long time, like when I got a DS, my American Girl Doll, or my computer, but it was still very temporary. However, the gift of Jesus brings eternal joy! Much of this source of joy has been a big part of my holiday season. I have reflected on the great hope I have in Jesus amid everything. I have worshipped Jesus this holiday season with great gladness....
